Moorhead, Competitive Intelligence Consultant, has joined the company as senior research partner. Merrell is responsible for generating insights and deep analysis for clients. Merrell has two decades of experience providing strategic planning, decision making and policy support to business leaders and senior government officials. His skills include research, analysis, strategic review and planning, and communications in such diverse areas as national security, consumer products, legal services, knowledge products, economic development, organizational management and innovation.
Before launching his own consulting practice, Merrell served as a senior advisor to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, where he was responsible for strategic planning, high-level policy analysis and decision support. While at the CIA, Merrell served as the Director’s representative to the Strategic Innovation Group that researched, planned and successfully launched the Center for Mission Innovation in 2005. In addition, he coordinated an Agency-wide transformation program in response to the Intelligence Reform and Prevention of Terrorism Act and other internal and external reform measures.

Merrell is a member of the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals society, and he earned his degree in History from Yale University.
